Higher Gasoline and Natural Gas Prices Impact Consumer Pocketbooks but Create Investment Opportunities in the Natural Gas Sector
by Anonymous

Point Roberts, WA March 26, 2004 -- www.investorideas.com and www.naturalgasstocks.com is pleased to provide investors interested in researching the natural gas sector with a free global research portal. The site does not make recommendations, but offers a unique information portal to investors to research news, articles, and recent research. With natural gas prices rising, industry experts predict there will be little downturn in the short-term, not until 2007 or 2008 when liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants can start to help address the supply and demand issues.

Naturalgasstocks.com includes a growing list of public companies in the sector. The following is a partial list of companies involved in natural gas:

Lexington Resources, Inc. (OTCBB: LXRS) is a natural resource exploration company engaged in the acquisition and development of oil and natural gas properties in the United States. The Company expects to weight its development initiatives towards gas production. The company announced March 10, 2004 that it has successfully completed negotiations to option approximately 2,500 acres in 5 sections of the Coal Creek CBM Prospect ("CoalBed Methane") located in Hughes and Pittsburg Counties, in the State of Oklahoma. The Coal Creek Prospect, comprised of approximately 10,240 gross acres in the area of mutual interest ("AMI"), targets Pennsylvanian Desmoinesian age Hartshorne coals as the primary producing reservoir that have coals ranked in the medium to high volatile bituminous category known for CBM production. The Company plans for drilling of further horizontal wells into the coal seams located on the prospect.

Heartland Oil & Gas Corp. (OTCBB: HOGC), a coalbed methane (CBM) company whose operations are located in the Forest City Basin in the state of Kansas. The Forest City Basin is the northern part of a CBM rich fairway, which begins in the south in the adjacent Cherokee Basin. Heartland is unique in that it has amassed a major portfolio of coalbed methane leases covering much of the fairway’s thickest and most gas rich coals. Heartland’s focus is to fully develop its CBM leases. On Jan 26, 2004 the company announced that the drilling and completion of its initial 5 well pilot program in the Forest City Basin of northeast Kansas had been completed, on time and within budget. These wells are currently dewatering. The company has commenced the drilling of an additional 15 CBM wells and 3 water disposal wells.
